Job Summary
Dispense and fit glasses and contacts by operating auto-lensometers and manual lensometers to measure bridge, eye size, and pupillary distance. Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames while assisting in selecting styles that match facial measurements and prescriptions. Accurately collect all necessary data and dispense orders in E360, ensuring frame repairs and adjustments meet standards. Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all protocols to keep inventory accurate. Work full-time hours Monday through Saturday, with open availability for shifts within the 8am to 7pm window.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- HIPAA compliance
- Favorable result on background check
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience
- Previous ophthalmic experience
- Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications
