Job Summary
The Optical Specialist role is an in-store, customer-facing position at Eyeglass World focusing on eyewear fitting, finishing, and customer service. Responsibilities include guiding customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education; supporting patient flow and pre-exam screenings to assist Optometrists; preparing orders for pickup; performing finishing inspections to ensure eyewear meets brand standards; maintaining organized, clean finish and retail areas; and supporting store team to deliver a brand-consistent experience. Key skills include strong communication, multitasking, time management, organization, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach. Bilingual abilities are preferred. Education required: High School Diploma or equivalent; experience: 1+ year in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.
