Sales Associate - Optical - Part Time

Job Summary
Greet customers in a friendly manner and ensure high quality customer service while meeting National Vision’s sales objectives. Assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses where permitted by state law; provide insertion/removal training for contact lenses as directed by management. Maintain awareness of same-day service using the Ready When Promised production board, ensure timely order status updates and notify customers of delays. Help with answering phones per National Vision telephone protocol, review reasons for redos, maintain clean and organized eyeglass department, perform inventory counts, replenish stock, and ensure visual merchandising is implemented. Support loss prevention and inventory controls, and contribute to a positive store environment conducive to professional growth and career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to present and sell eyeglass features and specialty lenses
- Must possess strong customer service skills
- Ability to learn optical knowledge
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (6-8 hours)
- Adherence to store policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to interact effectively within a store environment
