Job Summary
Greet customers, explain the eyewear fitting process transparently, and assist patients with merchandise selection, frame fitting, and dispensing. Solve visual challenges, manage transactions at the point of sale, and recommend lenses suited to a customer's vision, lifestyle, and budget. Handle precise tasks including taking measurements, adjusting eyewear, and documenting customer situations while maintaining camera presence during virtual meetings if working remotely or hybrid. Inform the Office Manager of any office problems and support other retail associates with complex product needs and prescriptions.
Required Qualifications
- One to two years of experience in related field
- Working knowledge of MS Office package
- Demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquiries
- Effective written communication skills to clearly document customer situations, as well as prepare letters to confirm agreements made
- Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills
- Ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify customer needs
- Proven problem-solving, negotiations, and decision-making skills
- Ability to use appropriate discretion and judgment in applying customer/call handling guidelines
- Ability to listen, process transactions and interact with customers simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
- We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an Optician with an active Florida License
- Bilingual English and Spanish
