Job Summary
Contribute to a warm, welcoming store environment by assisting with hanging clothing, straightening displays, bringing in donations, and executing accurate cash and credit card transactions. Maintain a safe, clean, and attractive retail space while ensuring the dignity and confidentiality of Family Shelter Service clients. Demonstrate a positive, helpful approach to customers, volunteers, donors, and staff, supporting all sales and special fundraising promotions. Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with diverse individuals and groups. Work independently with flexibility to respond appropriately in varied situations, supervised by the Assistant Store Manager or Lead Sales Associate. Requires established cashiering skills, aptitude with numbers, and a high school diploma. Part-time hourly role with a starting salary of $17.05 to $17.18. Personal vehicle required for travel between Glen Ellyn and Naperville locations.

- Satisfactorily pass all screenings and criminal background checks
- Driving for work required with a personally owned vehicle
- Travel between sites required
- Required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time
- Required to frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls
- Required to occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Required to have close visual acuity
