Job Summary
Break Time Sales Associates assist customers, process sales transactions and perform operational and food preparation duties necessary to keep the Break Time convenience store clean and well stocked while following all company policies and procedures to ensure proper and efficient operation during the scheduled shift. Responsibilities include greeting customers, conducting accurate and efficient transactions, merchandising and promotions, pricing knowledge, stocking and facing merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, utilizing POS systems and other technology, communicating with customers and management, working as part of a team to comply with regulations, training new employees on policies and procedures, loss control related to cash handling and food safety, and performing food preparation according to recipes and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Friendly, customer service-oriented
- Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers
- Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer
- Ability and willingness to attend adequate food safety training and obtain a Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
