Job Summary
Proactively greet and assist customers while recommending alternative purchase choices to build lasting brand impressions. Meet and exceed personal and team sales goals by analyzing bestsellers, maintaining excellent visual presentation, and expediting merchandise to the selling floor. Manage cash and credit card transactions, replenish inventory, and ensure store security by discouraging shoplifting activities. Work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support peak sales times at the airport location.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of sales floor and customer/guest service experience
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and product documentation
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
- Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette
- Familiarity with the use of a POS system
- Knowledge of basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to use calculator
- Proven ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers
- Ability to positively and pro-actively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a flexible schedule based on business needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 30lbs, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Ability to constantly move, talk, hear, reach, and stand
- Must be available during peak sales times at their locations
- Must be available to work varied shifts (beginning before 8:00am and ending after 8:0pm), holidays, and weekends
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
