Job Summary
Process tickets and payments while adhering to cash handling standards, and educate shoppers on the Round Up and Good Points programs. Operate the telephone and paging system professionally, and assist customers in locating items or request support when necessary. Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, pulled, and restocked according to merchandising standards, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. Complete opening and closing checklists and support general cleaning, including parking lot maintenance. This role requires excellent time management, communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail
- Ability to operate a cash register and accurately count money
- Basic math skills required
- Fluent in English
- Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule
- Sufficient physical ability to repetitively stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight
- Ability to use a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds
- Ability to reach approximately 54 inches
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch
- Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
