Sales Associate duties include assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, operating the cash register and scanner, itemizing totals, handling payments and making change, bagging merchandise, following merchandise processes, unpacking, stocking, restocking, rotating merchandise, building merchandise displays, cleaning the store, taking out trash, dusting and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and receiving areas, and helping set up sidewalk displays. Skills include effective interpersonal and oral communication, understanding safety policies, following planograms and merchandise presentation guides, basic cash handling, basic mathematical skills, cash register functions, and ability to stock merchandise. Education preference: High school diploma or equivalent.
