Job Summary
The Sales Associate role at Dollar General involves assisting customers, operating the cash register, stocking and rotating merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and executing duties assigned by the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, processing payments and bagging merchandise, unpacking and restocking items, creating displays according to planograms, cleaning the store and restrooms, taking out trash, and supporting set-up of sidewalk displays. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, adherence to safety policies, ability to follow merchandise presentation guides, basic cash handling, math skills, and physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Education preferred is a high school diploma or equivalent.
