Job Summary
Sales Associate at Dollar General greets and assists customers, operates the cash register and scanner to total purchases and collect payment, bags merchandise, stocks and rotates merchandise on shelves, builds merchandise displays, cleans the store, and helps with sidewalk displays. The role requires following company merchandise processes, unpacking and restocking, and maintaining store layout per planogram. Candidates should have strong customer-service and communication skills, basic cash handling and math abilities, and the ability to read planograms. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The position is in a fast-paced retail environment with physical duties such as lifting up to 55 pounds and frequent standing.
