Job Summary
The Sales Associate provides customer service, operates the cash register, processes transactions, stocks and displays merchandise, cleans the store, and supports store operations as assigned by the Store Manager. Duties include greeting customers, itemizing and totaling purchases, handling payments and making change, stocking and restocking merchandise, following planograms, maintaining merchandise presentation, rotating stock, cleaning duties, and assisting with sidewalk displays. Skills sought include strong interpersonal and communication abilities, basic cash handling and math, familiarity with merchandise processes, planogram adherence, stocking, and the ability to operate cash register functions in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Ability to stock merchandise
