Job Summary
Sales Associate role at Dollar General in Coventry, RI. Responsibilities include acting as the point of contact for customers, unloading trucks, stocking and merchandising merchandise, creating/displaying plan-o-grams, operating the cash register, processing payments, assisting customers, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety. Requires ability to stock, lift up to 40 pounds (occasionally up to 55 pounds), walk/stand for extended periods, follow cash-handling procedures, and work in a fast-paced retail environment. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; strong interpersonal and mathematical skills and familiarity with IBM cash registers are helpful.

- Frequent walking and standing
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out station, stock merchandise and unload trucks; which may also require the ability to push and/or pull rolltainers for stocking merchandise
- Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds
- Occasional climbing (using step ladder) up to heights of six feet
