Job Summary
Act as the point of contact for customers; assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs; stock merchandise and build merchandise displays; operate the cash register to process purchases; assist customers in locating merchandise; unload trucks and restock; maintain store cleanliness and compliance with policies; handle basic cash handling tasks and use handheld scanners for inventory and checkout. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to follow plan-o-gram guidance, and physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds (up to 55 pounds occasionally) are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
- Experience operating a cash register or similar point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally
