Job Summary
Assist the Store Leadership Team by engaging customers, processing point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining appropriate stock levels. Execute daily housekeeping duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, and merchandising displays, while adhering to loss prevention procedures. Demonstrate product knowledge to build sales and minimize returns, utilizing the retail POS system and inventory scanner. Maintain a team atmosphere by sharing suggestions with leadership and addressing customer concerns with sound judgment. Work weekends and holidays in a moderate to loud environment, lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive motions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes rapidly and constantly
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry product
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Must have ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to use and climb ladders and/or step stool
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Ability to use caution when dealing with difficult customers, houseless and/or transients
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and Holidays
- Ability to utilize retail POS System & Inventory Scanner
- Must be able to make change using American Monetary units
- Must be receptive to both positive and constructive feedback from the Store Leadership Team
