Job Summary
Demonstrate new and used vehicles, including test drives, and deliver them to customers while explaining operating features, warranties, and paperwork. Determine vehicle needs through direct questioning and listening, then attend sales meetings and maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business. Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards and devise strategies to meet them, while reviewing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual actions to optimize time and plans. Report on objectives, activities, reviews, and analyses to the General Sales Manager, and keep abreast of new products, features, and technological changes in the automobile industry.
Required Qualifications
- Take all factory tests and become a certified salesperson.
- Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
- Must be legally and technically able to safely operate company and customer-owned vehicles.
- Must be insurable by Company insurance company.
- Must follow Company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Must have a valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Must be able to stay motivated and productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
- Weekends as needed
