Job Summary
Process payments and scan tickets while adhering to cash handling standards. Educate shoppers on the Round Up and Good Points programs to meet organizational goals. Operate the telephone and paging system professionally, restock merchandise per merchandising standards, and assist customers in locating items. Maintain a clean, safe work area by completing opening and closing checklists and supporting general cleaning duties. Work primarily in a retail backroom or warehouse environment, standing for up to eight hours and lifting weights up to 25 pounds. Requires reliable transportation and the ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail
- Ability to operate a cash register and accurately count money
- Basic math skills required
- Fluent in English
- Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule
- Sufficient physical ability to repetitively stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push or pull moderate (10 pounds) to heavy (25 pounds) of weight
- Ability to use a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds
- Ability to reach approximately 54 inches
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch
- Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
