Job Summary
Greet every person who approaches the store with a warm smile, regardless of how busy you are. Assist shoppers with purchases by operating the cash register and point of sale system accurately, while also answering phone calls with friendliness and active listening. Ensure customers are aware of the Elizabeth Clark Fund and encourage participation or Goodwill Club membership. Select and price donated goods to meet quality control standards, and maintain a neat, clean environment. Complete daily reports including donation counts, business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances. This role requires a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate a cash register including basic math, computer, and typing skills
- Ability to operate a cash register and count back change
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to foster a strong team atmosphere
- Ability to promote the agency in a positive manner
