Job Summary
Sales Associate position in Bethesda for Jenni Kayne, responsible for maximizing sales and delivering friendly customer service. Duties include identifying customer needs, building and maintaining a client book, driving sales through consignments and partnerships with interior designers and wardrobe stylists, handling all POS transactions, assisting with stock transfers and merchandise receiving, participating in store events, promoting Jenni Kayne Rewards, and providing feedback through daily business recaps while ensuring loss prevention. Requires retail experience (1+ year), comfort with POS/inventory systems, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift 20+ pounds; flexibility to work peak periods including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in retail sales
- Experience or interest in home interiors is a plus
- Can-do attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Willingness and availability to work during peak business periods - weekends, holidays, etc.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with POS and Inventory Management systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (20 pounds or more) from time to time as required
