Job Summary
Pet Counselor duties include providing top-notch customer service, educating customers on each pet’s basic needs, and guiding customers through the 5-Step Sale and Petland programs to ensure an optimal customer experience. You’ll help match the right pet with the right customer, assist Animal Care Technicians, perform opening/closing procedures, maintain a clean and safe store, participate in community service projects, and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment. The role emphasizes animal care, customer education, and delivering great service in a pet-focused retail setting, with opportunities for training, growth, and internal promotion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
