Job Summary
Sales Associate role in Five Below's fast-paced retail environment requiring strong customer service and sales skills. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, identifying needs, providing product knowledge and recommendations, participating in suggestive selling, informing customers about store events and promotions, resolving customer concerns by offering solutions, communicating merchandise/restocking needs to management, and collaborating with the team to achieve store objectives. The role entails operating a cash register, stocking merchandise, climbing ladders to retrieve stock, assisting customers on the sales floor, and maintaining a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekend, and potential overnight shifts. The position emphasizes creating a positive customer experience, teamwork, and adherence to store policies and procedures. Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
