Job Summary
As a Sales Associate at Five Below, you'll greet and assist customers promptly, understanding and meeting their needs while promoting store events and addressing customer concerns. The role requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and management, operate cash registers, and handle merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs. Working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts, is essential. Strong customer service skills, technology adaptability, and the ability to learn through training are key qualifications for this role.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
