Job Summary
The Sales Associate at Five Below greets and assists customers promptly, assesses their needs by sharing product knowledge, and engages in suggestive selling. This role involves promoting store events, resolving customer concerns, and communicating needs to management. The position requires frequent operation of the cash register, moving merchandise, ascending/descending ladders, and effectively engaging with customers. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, flexible with schedules, and able to learn new technologies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Must be able to operate cash register
- Must be able to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
- Must be able to frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the sales floor and via telephone
