Job Summary
Greet and assist customers promptly; assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability. Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and turn returns into exchanges when possible. Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Collaborate with the team to achieve store objectives and maintain a positive work environment. Requires frequent cash register use, ability to move merchandise up to 25 lbs and climb ladders, and flexible scheduling including day, evening, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts; on-the-job training provided. Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
