Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service and drive sales as a Part-time Sales Associate at Five Below. Greet and assist customers promptly, assess needs, share product knowledge, and offer recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling, inform customers about store events and promotions, and help resolve customer concerns by offering alternative solutions to turn returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and service requirements, and collaborate with the team to achieve store goals. Must be able to operate a cash register, move merchandise up to 25 lbs, climb ladders as needed, and work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possible overnight shifts. Strong communication skills, a customer-service focus, and the ability to learn new procedures and POS technology are essential.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
