Job Summary
Part-time Sales Associate at Five Below responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, assessing needs with product knowledge, suggesting products, informing customers about store events and promotions, resolving issues to turn returns into exchanges when possible, communicating merchandise needs and feedback to management, and collaborating with the team to achieve store objectives. Must be comfortable with technology, capable of handling checkout processes, restocking, and keeping merchandise organized. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and a willingness to learn procedures through on-the-job training. The position emphasizes a fast-paced, energetic environment with emphasis on customer experience and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
- Ability to move and lift merchandise up to 25 lbs
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and possibly overnight shifts and travel (as required)
