Job Summary
Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging them and handling multiple customers efficiently. Share product knowledge to meet customer needs, direct them to merchandise, and offer recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability. Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales. Address customer concerns, offering alternative solutions and aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible. Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Collaborate with team to achieve store objectives and maintain a positive work environment. Job requires frequent cash register use, stocking merchandise up to 25 lbs, ladder usage to retrieve stock, movement around the sales floor and stock room, and flexible scheduling including day, evening, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel. Prior experience with or willingness to learn store procedures and operating instructions, plus strong communication with customers and colleagues. Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions professionally
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
