Job Summary
Sales Associate at Five Below responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while driving store sales. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, assessing needs, providing product knowledge, directing customers to merchandise, suggesting additional items, promoting store events and promotions, resolving customer concerns, communicating needs to management, and collaborating with the team to achieve store objectives. Must be able to operate the cash register, handle merchandise, stock the sales floor, and work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts. The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, accuracy in transactions, and contributing to a positive store environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
