Job Summary
Conduct cashier operations including operating registers, processing payments, and managing drawer pulls. Manage store inventory by unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, rotating displays, and maintaining plan-o-grams. Lead store activities in the absence of management by authorizing refunds, counting registers, making bank deposits, and monitoring cash levels. Maintain a clean and secure environment through floor cleaning, trash removal, and camera monitoring. Greet customers, assist with merchandise location, and ensure strict adherence to company security and safety policies. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction while completing all required documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
