Job Summary
Welcome and assist customers and donors while unloading donated items and processing sales transactions. Organize daily tasks, sort and price merchandise, and maintain a clean sales floor. Operate the cash register, assist with donation pickups, and ensure proper handling of store inventory. Perform routine cleaning, report equipment concerns, and attend quarterly team meetings. Support special events like the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival booth. Available for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday shifts from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Join a mission-driven nonprofit supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be available to work all scheduled shifts: Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Saturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move donated merchandise (up to 40 pounds)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service to shoppers and donors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment
- Comfortable operating a cash register and handling cash transactions accurately
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous retail, customer service, cashier, or thrift store experience is a plus, but not required
