Job Summary
Conduct customer interactions via phone and in-person to offer expert advice on coatings projects, then process orders through email, phone, or point-of-sale systems. Maintain sales floor organization and stock levels by stocking merchandise according to planograms and ensuring delivery quality meets company and customer expectations. Clean and maintain all store areas and equipment while adhering to safety standards, including lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and using electronic devices. Operate a point-of-sale system with financial accuracy and communicate clearly with customers and employees. Shifts may start as early as 5:00 am and end as late as 6:30 pm, with some workdays open seven days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Four years of High School with diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Read and write English for safety purposes
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to Operate a Point of Sales system and complete cash transactions with financial accuracy
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
- Must be able to lift items weighing from 5 to 75 pounds
- Must be able to drive a large delivery truck/vehicle
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to use a respirator
- Must be available for opening shifts starting as early as 5:00 am
- Must be available for closing shifts ending as late as 6:30 pm
- Must be available for workdays that vary depending on location; some are open 7 days per week
