Job Summary
Greet customers, operate the POS system, and handle cash transactions while answering product questions about camping, skiing, biking, hiking, and climbing gear. Assist consignors in preparing items for sale and maintain a tidy work environment by cleaning as needed. Respond to all customer complaints in a friendly and professional manner. This part-time seasonal role requires approximately 21 hours per week with an emphasis on Saturday availability. Join our close-knit five-person team dedicated to selling high-quality used outdoor equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled employees or customers
- Responsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling commitments
- Ability to problem solve quickly and address concerns customers may have
- Good communication skills with customers
- Knowledge of outdoor gear including: camping, skiing, biking, hiking, and climbing
- Understanding of the retail market for high quality used equipment
