Job Summary
Provide professional and courteous service to customers inside, outside, and on the phone while ensuring accurate merchandise placement and register operations. Handle cash transactions, including making change, operating the cash register, and using card machines, while maintaining neat floor merchandise and a clean professional appearance. Keep the register area orderly, perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, and exercise security practices as needed. Stand for prolonged periods up to seven hours and bend or lift up to 40 pounds frequently. Maintain knowledge of merchandise to answer customer questions promptly and settle complaints effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and GGW associates
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers
- Ability to settle customer complaints
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift)
- Ability to bend and lift up to 40 pounds frequently
- Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a retail environment
- Excellent customer service related skills
- Working knowledge of a cash register
- Multilingual with complete fluency in English
