Job Summary
Sales Associate at The Chef’s Warehouse acts as the face of the company, delivering outstanding customer service and selling fine products to restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments. Responsibilities include generating sales through new opportunities and expanding existing accounts, building prospect lists from networking and industry sources, traveling within the assigned territory to call on customers, presenting products with samples or catalogs, quoting prices and terms to prepare contracts, coordinating delivery schedules and payments, maintaining detailed records and accounts, collaborating with inside sales, tracking stock levels to align product availability, and developing long-term relationships with purchasing contracts. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of restaurant/food sales experience (preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, a self-starter attitude, a college degree (preferred but not required), and a willingness to travel.
