Job Summary
Sales Associate at Five Below responsible for greeting customers promptly, assisting with product knowledge, directing them to merchandise, and providing recommendations; engage in suggestive selling, inform customers about events and promotions, and resolve customer concerns by offering alternative solutions (exchanges when possible). Maintain store cleanliness and merchandise organization, restock as needed, and operate the cash register to facilitate checkout. Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and feedback; collaborate with the team to achieve store objectives. Requires strong customer service, effective communication, ability to handle merchandise up to 25 lbs, mobility around the store, and a flexible schedule including day/evening/weekends and potential overnight shifts. Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
- Good communicator
- Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
