Job Summary
Greet customers and donors with prompt, courteous assistance to meet their needs. Stock priced items on the sales floor, receive, unload, and sort incoming inventory, and inspect products for defects. Maintain store and donation areas by cleaning, organizing, and assisting with item removal from vehicles. Operate POS/cash registers in accordance with policies, attend monthly meetings, and perform other assigned duties. This role supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program at the Kailua Thrift Store.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be flexible to always ensure adequate store coverage
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
