Job Summary
The Sales Associate/Material Handler is responsible for meeting customer and donor needs by providing prompt and courteous assistance. Key duties include stocking priced items, sorting donations according to standards, maintaining store cleanliness, operating POS systems, receiving and unloading inventory, and ensuring safety standards. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as part-time associates may work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position necessitates physical ability to perform various tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors
