Job Summary
Sales Assistant for off-premise accounts in a supermarket/retail environment. Responsibilities include reviewing auto-generated orders for inventory accuracy, transmitting orders on time using a handheld unit, working with the sales team to generate sales orders, merchandising and display building, traveling through the assigned territory to merchandise and fully stock shelves at off-premise accounts (including liquor stores, drug stores, convenience stores, gas stations, neighborhood stores, and supermarkets), reviewing stock for future reorder needs, ensuring promotions and programs are communicated, presenting and selling new products and weekly/monthly ad information, maintaining proper rotation and shelf/tag integrity, coordinating with the Sales Director/Manager/Rep, attending scheduled sales meetings, and completing Brew U Training modules. Additional duties include delivering special orders, assisting with cooler resets, working holidays as needed, and adhering to national account procedures. Skills emphasized include inventory management, merchandising, customer service, numerical accuracy, multitasking, communication, and independent work ethic.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years previous sales experience
- Valid Class D driver’s license required
- Must use own means of transportation to get from account to account
- Regular exposure to extreme non-weather related temperatures
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to compute prices of products for customers
- Able to communicate clearly with customers and other team members
- Able to build and create product displays
- Able to rotate product in coolers and stock rooms
