Sales Assistant

Welcome all customers in a friendly manner, serve them at the till, and assess opportunities for up and cross-selling throughout the product range. Build lasting relationships by offering related products, handling refunds graciously, and encouraging inclusion in the Company database. Provide accurate product information, direct customers to specific areas, and manage phone enquiries efficiently. Check on customer deliveries, liaise with internal or outside couriers, and take part in daily product training and team briefings. Maintain full and accurate till operations while adhering to cash handling procedures. Implement shop display standards, keep stock rooms and fixtures clean, and physically replenish merchandise throughout the day. Ensure all stock is ticketed and priced, water house plants, and assist with weekly stock counts and annual stock takes. Follow security procedures to prevent theft and accurately administer delivery files and gift vouchers.
