Job Summary
The Sales Assistant supports the sales executive by managing order execution, maintaining product and order data, and coordinating cross-functional communication to ensure timely processing of purchase orders, samples, and production timelines in a wholesale apparel environment. Responsibilities include end-to-end order management (entering/revising orders, POs, EDIs), coordinating with planning, production, and merchandising, reviewing order reports for accuracy, tracking open orders and shortages, and supporting production timelines and vendor coordination. The role also covers production coordination, warehouse/logistics communication, sample management, and supporting sales calls, meetings, and presentations. Candidates should be highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of handling multiple priorities, and proficient with ERP/PLM systems (AS400, OneWorldSync) and MS Office. Location: New York, NY with a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, Friday work-from-home). Salary range: $52,000–$60,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in wholesale apparel, merchandising, sales support, or production coordination preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Experience with ERP or PLM systems such as AS400 or OneWorldSync preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
