Job Summary
Conduct scientific and technical demonstrations of LC-MS systems for customers and prospects, designing and implementing application studies tailored to specific challenges. Optimize and transfer analytical methods on triple quadrupole and TOF platforms while delivering user training on instrument operation and associated software solutions. Take part in scientific presentations during instrument evaluations and support customers throughout their purchasing process. This role involves a split schedule between the applications laboratory at headquarters and on-site interventions at customer premises to prepare trials and deploy analytical applications. Based in Barcelona, the position requires fluent Spanish and English, with regular travel within Spain expected.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree/PhD in analytical chemistry or biochemistry
- At least 3 years of laboratory experience
- hands-on expertise in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Excellent command of separation technologies (liquid chromatography), tandem mass spectrometry and TOF, and their coupling
- Experience in method development
- Experience in project management and customer relations
- Experience in the relevant industry sector (food and environmental, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical, chemical materials, etc.)
- Fluent Spanish and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory best practices
- Ability to work independently, manage several initiatives simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues and provide guidance on product use and optimization
- Excellent communication and persuasive presentation skills
- Ability to integrate and work effectively as part of a team
- Sense of initiative
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Commercial mindset and ability to work toward quarterly and annual objectives
- Regular travel within Spain
Desired Qualifications
- another European language is a plus (preference for French or Italian)
- knowledge of CRM tools (ideally Salesforce)
