Job Summary
Translate and import client sales and use tax data, prepare and review standard and customized reports, and manage eligible credits. Reconcile payments made on behalf of clients and cash received, assist clients in reconciling their general ledger, and maintain an accurate client tax calendar. Prepare and submit timely sales and use tax returns while proactively communicating to address specific questions and resolve jurisdictional matters, including managing notices. Work remotely with flexible hours, choosing your workload based on availability to act as an outsourced tax department for clients. Comprehensive training and onboarding are provided, along with a dedicated coach to help build your practice. No business development is required as clients are supplied.
Required Qualifications
- Must currently reside in the United States
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA, CMI, or 5+ years of sales and use tax compliance experience
- Comfortable with part-time work
- Strong client-first mentality with a commitment to delivering white-glove service
