Job Summary
The Sales and Use Tax Manager will work on multiple complex tax engagements and deliver innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for clients. Responsibilities include managing and leading projects in indirect tax audits, preparing complex tax research projects, and providing consulting services. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, and a CPA, CMI, or JD, along with at least 5 years in state and local tax within public accounting or similar industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMI or JD
- 5 + years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm or similar industry
- Experience with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
