Job Summary
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for identifying potential new business, meeting monthly sales targets, managing current accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, a customer service focus, and the ability to perform cold calls. Candidates should have 1-3 years of outside sales experience, a college degree or equivalent work experience, and a working knowledge of MS Office products. Responsibilities include maintaining sales reports and providing quotes to prospective customers, all while representing the company with professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience as a sales professional performing outside sales
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Ability to operate a telephone and a personal computer for long periods of time
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with little or no direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in outside sales, preferably in a solutions and service industry
- Strong customer service focus and excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of applicable sales practices and company policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
