Sales Account Manager

Job Summary
Manage and develop customer accounts to drive sales growth in targeted aerospace and defense markets. Build long-term trusting relationships by delivering exceptional customer service, listening to client requirements, and tracking key metrics to forecast business. Oversee account management, including negotiating contracts to maximize profitability and calculating bids/quotes for presentation to C-level executives and senior military personnel. Cold call from prescribed contact lists, qualify business and government prospects, and make sales presentations. Interact directly with the sales manager and engineers while working with the factory to meet customer needs. Attend and manage trade show activity, maintaining effective time management across multiple clients. This role requires up to 50% travel by car, plane, and train.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or related technical degree
- 5 years of aerospace/defense or related experience
- Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in ERP/MRP systems
- Experience in CRM / Infusion Soft or other customer data bases
- Experience in Excel or pricing software
- This position requires up to 50% of travel by car, plane, and train as needed
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
