Job Summary
Sales Account Manager for GenScript products in Southern California (San Diego, CA). The role drives and supports sales efforts for GenScript products/services within the territory, working with the Global Commercial Head, TAM, FAS, and Marketing to execute sales strategies. Responsibilities include 30% quote/lead follow-up and 70% field travel to visit customers and build relationships to achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales goals. Requires a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with lab experience, and 1-5 years of relevant sales experience. Candidates should have knowledge of the Biological/CRO/CDMO biotech market, ability to forecast sales, and strong analytical/time management skills; must be a collaborative team player. Location notes indicate Southern California territory with residence in San Diego, CA. Salary range cited is $85,000-$100,000 base, dependent on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in scientific disciplines majoring in life science area; or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of lab experiences
- Relevant sales experience required (1-5 years) and a high level of technical and professional expertise
- Knowledge of the Biological and CRO or CDMO market or general biotech industry
- Ability to operate effectively in an international business environment and the ability to succeed in such an environment
- Ability to accurately forecast sales within territory on a weekly basis
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Team player
