Job Summary

Sales Account Manager for Automotive Tier1 in Novi, MI, focused on growing ADAS, body controls, infotainment, connectivity, and electrification/powertrain business. Drive design wins and execution of account strategies across the vehicle lifecycle by engaging engineering, purchasing, and program management teams, and maintaining CRM data and revenue forecasting. Manage long-term automotive programs from design-in through SOP and lifecycle, identify qualified design-in and teardown opportunities, and translate BOM/teardown insights into compelling commercial narratives. Collaborate with FAEs, product marketing, and engineering to align product positioning with Tier1 cost, performance, and safety requirements; support RFQs, pricing reviews, and LTAs; assist in developing cost models and business cases; monitor pricing trends and broader automotive market dynamics. Partner with Supply Chain & Operations on demand planning and program continuity; participate in BOM teardown analyses to understand ECU architectures and cost drivers. Requires 8–10 years of semiconductor sales experience in automotive contexts and a Bachelor's degree; strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of semiconductor sales experience supporting automotive OEMs or Tier 1s
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE preferred), Business, or equivalent experience
  • Proven negotiation skills externally with customers and internally with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of automotive ECUs and network architectures (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • Familiarity with semiconductor product categories (MCUs, SoCs, analog, power, sensors)
  • Ability to read and interpret Tier1 BOMs, system diagrams, and teardown analyses
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for cost analysis and presentations
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with both engineering and sourcing stakeholders
  • Excellent program tracking, follow-through, and execution discipline
  • Ability to rapidly absorb new technical and automotive domain knowledge
