Job Summary
Meet and exceed sales targets by targeting businesses in your assigned area, visiting established and competitor clients, and identifying new growth opportunities. Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals and written presentations for client meetings. Cluster accounts for efficient work and actively participate in sales meetings, regional seminars, and trade shows. Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans, follow up on client production orders, and solve any issues that arise. Ensure organized records of clients and sales activity while developing new product knowledge and selling skills. This role offers a Monday-Friday schedule with a combination of in-office and field work, a first-year earning potential of $45,000 to $100,000 including commissions, and comprehensive training through the Lamar Sales School.
Required Qualifications
- Current and Valid Driver's License
- U.S. work authorization not requiring sponsorship
- Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in-person
- Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform effectively under fluctuating workloads
- Intrinsic self-motivation to overcome challenges and meet goals
- Resilience in response to rejection
- Ability to meet a sales quota and utilize general sales techniques
- Ability to exhibit effective time management and self-organization
- Willingness to immerse yourself in the outdoor advertising industry with the intent of selling its benefits to businesses and customers
- A knack for making connections and gaining the trust of others
- Ability to communicate with people of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds
- Nights spent away from home traveling are less than 10%
Desired Qualifications

- Previous Outdoor Advertising sales experience
