Job Summary
The Salaried On-Call Certified Surgical Technologist preps surgical setup, assists the surgeon, and maintains a sterile field during procedures, with on-call coverage outside regular hours. The role supports the operating room team as a CST Level II, performs intraoperative and perioperative duties, ensures equipment and room readiness, and adheres to safety protocols throughout potentially extended shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologists and one (1) year of scrub experience.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program and a minimum of two years work experience within an operating room setting required.
- Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST) required and must be maintained.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
