Job Summary
Salaried substitute role within the Allentown School District focused on elementary education; collaborates with staff to support the education process, participates in curriculum review and design, maintains records and reports, utilizes diverse instructional strategies to meet objectives, and adheres to school policies and professional development plans; requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate; role emphasizes dependable attendance, professionalism, and communication with administrators, parents, students, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Hold a valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate
- Criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI)
- Performs essential duties
- Collaborates with staff
- Maintains open lines of communication with administrators, parents, students, staff members and the general public
- Maintains records and reports within established timelines
- Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to attain lesson objectives and provide opportunities beyond the classroom
- Familiarity with Teacher Expectations, Evaluation and Development plan
- Adheres to Pennsylvania School Code and Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Demonstrates professionalism and appropriate model behavior
